Neals Nurseries Garden Centre

I wandered around neal’s nurseries, the largest garden centre in London and it was eid and I was losing track of time, distracted by the giant moving clouds above, the sunlight streaming down to earth, it touched the plants and humans, the walls and windows of the prison (but it didn’t go right though) and the centre was filled with so many trees and plants and pots and roses and herbs, olive trees and japanese maples, and from the yard you could see wandsworth prison, it looked dark and unforgiving, and I wondered if those inside could see down onto the little jungle, lit up, it was a world away, and I remembered when I visited the prison, those dank corridors and those barking dogs, those security checks, I remember a man screamed freedom! from a window - to live in gratitude for the things we often take for granted, the sight and smell of flowers, wandering aimlessly on a nowhere’s day….
