Listening to Bees

This binaural recording of bees was captured in May 2021 at Fairlight Country Park, Sussex, using ear mics from Falmouth University. The accompanying geocache and site artworks were created collaboratively with volunteers who researched the park’s history.

"Spaceebah" is a radio art piece created by Bonnie Sue Stein during the 2021 Wave Farm Radio Art workshop, based on her travel diaries. Since 1972, Stein has traveled to over 45 countries, documenting her journeys on foot, and plans to continue this audio diary series lifelong.

You can ‘set and forget’ the recording device, or use it creatively to frame your journey

A kind of attitudinal or intentional walk in which one chooses a zig-zag pathway, choosing a feature in the environment to walk towards and changing chosen feature and direction at will. A way to subvert prescribed directionality, and view, of built urban pathways.
