Krista Carson (she/her) is a Canadian writer, educator, and PhD candidate. She is currently completing her doctoral dissertation, Footnotes: A Personal History of Walking Through Academia and Life, through the School of Creative Arts at the University of Gloucestershire. Her practice-based research explores the relationship between walking and creativity. Outside of her academic work, Krista writes fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. Her writing often explores nature/culture themes. Her work has recently appeared in the League of Canadian Poets, Petal Projections, and Out of the Woods: Voices from the Forest City. She also teaches humanities and social sciences part-time at the college level. Krista lives in southwestern Ontario with her husband, daughter, and whippet.
