Marta Moreno Muñoz
Marta Moreno Muñoz (1978) is an artist, researcher, cultural worker, and activist. She has lived and produced artistic works in Spain, the UK, Turkey, India, the Netherlands, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines and has exhibited internationally.
She is the author of 2020: The Walk, an art & activism project walking from Granada to Helsinki - with some trains and a ferry, and from there up North to the permafrost - to help spread the word about Extinction Rebellion, a global environmental movement whose stated aim is to use non-violent civil disobedience to compel governments to take action to avoid triggering tipping points in the climate system, biodiversity loss, and the risk of social and ecological collapse.
Currently based in El Valle de Lecrín, she is completing her PhD thesis, Art as an Experience of Dissolution of the Self. Towards an Art Practice in Times of Collapse at the University of Granada. She has recently started to collaborate with 15/15 \15 - Magazine for a New Civilization, and is working with La Cultura Declara la Emergencia (CDE Spain).
In June 2025, she joined the Global March to Gaza, a civic, apolitical, and independent peaceful movement whose aim is to negotiate the opening of the Rafah border terminal to break the siege, allow humanitarian aid and to stop the genocide in Palestine.
