Yixuan Pan is an anti-disciplinarian artist. She is from the land of fish and rice, where she grew up speaking Mandarin Chinese. Through sound and image, Pan enjoys working with people. In recent years, her work has taken untraditional art forms, such as choral conducting, urban walking, window cleaning, love letter whispering, music therapy operating, and collective dumpling making. Pan is the author of an artist book: It -A Skillful Amateur's Records on Glass. She also runs a podcast called “Working Artist” about artists and their day jobs. Currently, Pan is an art professor at the University of Washington. She says that she wants to be a cook when she grows up.
