Poetry on Pilgrimage
We have been on the ‘look-out’ for a poetry competition or prize that is exclusively focused on walking and to date we haven’t found one (apart from our own). The poetry universe is huge, there are prizes awarded for hundreds of themes, and many of the more general ones have chosen walking as a theme

We are delighted to announce the authors selected for our forthcoming illustrated chapbook anthology 39 Steps, celebrating the famous man-on-the-run thriller by John Buchan – The Thirty Nine Steps. Writing Words of Wonder – Walking Home
The aim of this workshop is to help you become a better writer. And give you the confidence to make a submission to the Write about Walking home competition. Over the course of 120 minutes we’ll use two complementary forms - poetry and flash fiction - and draw inspiration from journeys on foot that we have made.
