James Dyer writes eclectically about Graphic Design and communication. He most recent book is Graphic Events: A Realist Account of Graphic Design. I have ten years of experience teaching academic writing to undergraduate and post-graduate students in schools of Art and Design. The assignments range from short-form essays to longer-form dissertations and postgraduate theses. I give lectures on critical theory and design history, seminars on assigned texts, workshops on creative writing and academic conventions, as well as consultations on self-negotiated research topics.
