The Tides of Our Tears
The Tides of Our Tears is a trail of seven augmented reality poems along the Thames, made with Invisible Dust and UCL scientists. Accessed via QR codes, the works reflect on floods, memory, and our evolving, fragile relationship with water.

Sunrise Walks – Augmented Topography is a walking performance and experimental archive. Three sunrise photos taken in Paris, enhanced with augmented reality data, question the relationship between light, the celestial cycle, and the body's inscription within space.
Wanderers – 2021
Created by Roberto Azaretto, Jiffer Harriman and Teri Rueb Five planets — Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were known to the ancients. To the unaided eye, these planets appear starlike. However, the planets moved relative to the stars. For this reason they were called wandering stars. Our word “planet” comes from the Greek word planetes, meaning “wanderer.” Smithsonian
Bald Rock/National Parks Soundtrail
The Bald Rock Soundtrail, the northernmost of four National Park Soundtrails in New England, NSW, was created as part of post-2019/20 bushfire recovery and offers a 2.5-hour walk featuring GPS-triggered audio narratives about the site’s cultural, ecological, and geological significance. It highlights the heritage of the Western Bundjalung and Githabul peoples, local wildlife, and historical figures, with immersive sound layers available onsite via the Soundtrails app.
Libraries as Gardens – sound walk in Athens
The National Garden of Athens hosts an interactive audio project featuring global participants sharing stories and readings about their favorite public gardens during the pandemic, accessible via a mobile webapp or desktop map. This evolving sound walk includes lockdown silence recordings and aims to create a geolocated audio archive of personal and public garden experiences before, during, and after COVID-19.
LOTTERY
LOTTERY is a geolocated sound walk in Rochedale, a suburban area south of Meanjin/Brisbane, featuring recorded voices imagining life after winning 5-10 million dollars. The 20-minute walk includes changing musical cues and voices that shift as participants move through different streets, forming part of the 2020 res[on]ance [off] exhibition.
A Different LENS
A Different LENS is an interactive locative media map created by Elspeth Penfold and the artist group Thread and Word, enabling users to explore literary and geographic sites in Margate via computer or smartphone. Developed with community collaborators and funded by Arts Council England and others, the project combines psychogeography, storytelling, and local culture using the CGeomap tool.
