Walled Ground, a Free Zone for Seedlings / a path is made by walking
Since 2016, Hans van Lunteren and Ienke Kastelein have led monthly silent walks along a former prison wall in Utrecht to observe plant growth and explore the tension between control and natural development. Their ongoing project, Walled Ground, aims to create a permanent Free Zone for Seedlings, symbolizing ecological balance and freedom within an urban, controlled environment.
Exeter Sound Walks
Exeter Sound Walks is a series of illustrated, approximately one-mile walks created by Emma to explore and document the changing local soundscape over a year, with 24 walks planned for publication as a book. The walks emphasize attentive listening to seasonal and site-specific sounds, are designed for solitary or small group experiences, and include adaptations for diverse auditory perceptions.
Shared Walks
Shared Walks is an initiative that facilitates social interaction and spatial participation through group walks in public spaces. The Card Set toolkit enables organizations and individuals worldwide to host non-profit Shared Walks activities for community building, social inclusion, and local engagement.
