Highlights
Consequences of a Gesture
*Consequences of a Gesture* (1993) by Daniel J. Martinez, with VinZula Kara, was a participatory parade through Chicago commemorating immigrant labor history. It combined performance, monument, and community engagement, turning streets into a living, historical stage.
100 Boots
Between 1971–1973, Eleanor Antin traveled across California and New York with 100 rubber boots, photographing and sending postcards of 51 staged actions to friends and institutions worldwide. 100 Boots questioned gallery limits and became a narrative journey ending at MoMA.
