30 Days of Walking: Sound Walk September 2020

We are creating a collaborative sound walk. You are invited to participate in a project involving scores or participants, with the aim of creating a 30-day sound walk.
SoundWalk Sant Cugat w/ Hush City App
Hush City Soundwalks are guided soundwalks with the aim of mapping and assessing quiet areas using the free app Hush City. The data collected with the application is linked in real time to the Hush City map, a web-based map accessible to anyone who is interested in finding quiet areas close to the places where they live or even in other cities internationally. Participants in the Hush City Soundwalk in Sant Cugat will have an introduction to the activity in the field, then will be guided on a walk through the quiet areas along a predefined path and will stop at various points to listen. At each listening point, participants will actively listen to the atmosphere for 1-3 minutes, in complete silence, and then be invited to use the Hush City app to map and assess the quiet area. At the end of the Soundwalk, a group discussion between participants will be encouraged. The global program of the Hush City Soundwalks is initiated and coordinated by Dra. Antonella Radicchi in her role as inventor and manager of the Hush City application, and is part of the Hush City Mobile Lab project. The Hush City app received funding from the TU Berlin IPODI-Marie Curie program (2016-2018) and the HEAD-Genuit Foundation (2018-2020)
