I recently wrote a piece about a sound walk at Stenness, in the north-west of the Shetland mainland. It’s a very evocative site: men based here during the summer used to row and sail forty miles or more offshore in order to catch fish. It was a hard and insecure existence and the sound walk evokes it brilliantly. You can read the article here:
