Paul Roden is a psychologist, poet and Buddhist, recent retired from University teaching. His writing tries to convey the inspiration he finds in the everyday and in ordinary lives.

"The poem "Winterfold Forest" developed from a Christmas Day walk in the Surrey hills. Because of the holiday and freezing temperatures, there was no sign of human activity; just ourselves, the cold and the silence."
