This whole world is wild at heart and weird on top (2 tracks)
This project comprises two self-performative sound-walks designed for shopping centers in Luxembourg, specifically Belle Étoile and Auchan, exploring the over-affirmative misuse of commercial spaces. Adaptable versions of these headphone-based pieces have also been created for shopping centers in Bergen, Brussels, Maastricht, and Kortrijk.
Your flowing city
"Your Flowing City" is a performance walk in Brussels personifying the underground Senne river as it traces the hidden overground path of the river through the city. The project explores the historical and contemporary significance of the river, addressing themes of urban invisibility, public space, and the act of walking as a form of resistance within the motorized cityscape.
Watch In?
Watch in? is an audio application developed by aifoon for the Permeke museum, featuring the AudioCollier, a pendant speaker worn by visitors to experience sound compositions linked to Permeke’s artworks. This device allows visitors to engage actively as listeners and performers, creating a dynamic, shared sound environment as multiple users become a walking surround system.
Geolocated poetry in Ghent (S.M.A.K.)
Geolocated poetry was a pilot project launched on 1 May 2011, featuring a geolocated poetry sound walk with live art performances in Citadel Park near the City Museum of Contemporary Art (S.M.A.K.). The project, coordinated by Geert Vermeire and involving Escoitar.org / noTours and the Milena principle/WIT Urban Team, was later updated and presented at the E-Culture Fair in Hasselt in November 2011.

Carte bavarde des Cités-Jardins / Chatty map from the “Garden city” (Brussels)
Two garden cities in south-east Brussels, nearing their 100th anniversary, are the focus of a project collecting resident interviews about local experiences. These French-language testimonies are mapped for online exploration or geolocated walking tours, initiated by sound artist Anne Versailles with the Maison de quartier des Cités-Jardins.
