Wandering as a way of attaining knowledge beyond the material world
That maybe a Sufi quote about dervishes, the whirling kind, of which I read about in To the Lake by Kapka Kassabova: “A precept of dervishism is renouncing possessions, surrendering to the Road.” The subtitle of her book is “A Journey of War and Peace” and, as she writes of her travels along the shores
• I AM A HUMAN SEISMOGRAPH
Presented at WAC 25, I AM A HUMAN SEISMOGRAPH encouraged Walkshop participants to develop their own codes and systems to generate walking drawings that document and celebrate sensorial attentiveness and presence in the world.

Audio Walking: An Introduction to Recording, Producing and Editing skills
Three fascinating workshops shifting from an introduction to audio field recording for audio-walks and soundscapes, through to actual field recording and then editing. We will make a work in prgress and communicate with a group of artists working on a similar workshop series in Sweden with Andrew Stuck. We will hope to produce a work in progress to share!
