KUNCI is a transdisciplinary research collective based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Since its founding in 1999, KUNCI has explored intersections between theory and practice through modes of critical thinking, collective study, and experimentation. The work spans across popular education, publishing, and cross-cultural collaboration, often addressing issues of knowledge production, , social justice, and everyday life. With a horizontal and process-based approach, KUNCI engages in long term projects that blur the boundaries between learning and unlearning, institution and community, art and activism.
