Mudlarking from Horselydown Stairs, on the Thames foreshore beneath Tower Bridge

Along the Thames in central London, there are only a few access points from which you can step down onto the foreshore, one of which is Horselydown Stairs, just downstream from Tower Bridge. Stepping on to the foreshore at low tide can be hazardous, but fortunately today was sunny and the steps were not slippery. On the foreshore, amongst the river gravels, are pieces of two thousand years of human garbage.
