Sailing the Muga documents one of the four expeditions of the Walking Assembly, exploring how walking can become a practice of learning, unlearning and collective attention. Along the Muga River, the hammock unexpectedly evolved into a central methodology, transforming walking into "sailing" through stillness, observation and dialogue with the landscape. More than a walkshop, the expedition gave rise to an ongoing international community of practice, continuing through regular Sync Hammocks, collaborative publications, a documentary and a shared online platform. The walkshop was conceived and realized by Geert Vermeire and Fred Adam (Locative Media Supercluster).
