Silent Soundwalk – part 2 of the program of sensorial walking
by Ienke Kastelein
In this walk we focus on the perception of sound and space, produced by people, nature and objects, while bearing these words after Pauline Oliveiros in mind “Walk so silently that the bottoms of your feet become ears”. We explore the distinction between hearing and listening, noise as sound, silence as source. In listening and walking we are layering the space, leaving an invisible trace of attention behind.
