I am tired of the typical deficit narrative that tends to surround Black people! So, I decided to write a new narrative – a narrative of JOY! To be specific…Black Joy.

Black Joy is anything you need it to be…
…because Black Joy is the Best

For this walking piece, Black people from Tallahassee, Florida will gather to walk around Governor’s Park and then pause to enjoy the setting of the sun. Our collective presence will move our message of “Black Joy in Green Spaces” forward.
