Event details

The piece is a silent urban listening walk I will lead for a group of 15 people maximum in the ancient streets of Fiesole up the hill of Florence in Italy where I live and operate. The route includes outdoor public spaces such as hilly gardens, small squares, tiny streets, indoor areas such as the ancient cathedral and a public local bar. I will give to the participants a little listening guide form with questions before we start in order to get and share feedback at the end of the walk. I also ask to the participants to draw or write something during the walk inspired by the act of listening together, no photos, video or audio are allowed during the walk. The idea is to share the urban environment of a small ancient town with all ears open, silently collectively and slowly by invading the public space around full of privatized areas and fast tourism. At the end we can have an informal dinner and chat about the experience.
