Diane has put her hand to almost everything in terms of sound, man made and natural, true life and fantasy, live radio, sound-rich documentary podcasts, radio features, internet and museum audio guides, sound walks and field recordings across the globe – she is a storyteller immerses the listener very firmly in geographic and sonic space.
As we celebrate sound walks in September, with works from extraordinary composers and producers, with strengths in different media and a variety of approaches, we are delighted to welcome Diane a creative audio producer at the top of her game.
A passionate and enthusiastic producer, a Brit based in Flagstaff, Arizona, Diane’s journey to recording and composing sound works hasn’t followed a straight line, and she is candid about how tough it is to get to and remain at the top of her game. Although she has made work for the BBC, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, NPR and for countless other broadcasters, podcasters, museums and galleries, she still has to win work like any other artist.
