On line meet up with Mel Sutton: “When does a walk become a meditation?”

Mel in Greenwich Park

We frequently walk with the sole purpose of getting from one place to another.

But where are we in between?

With each step we feel the miracle of walking on Mother Earth
With each step there is the potential to be present

“We can arrive in the present moment with every step”

Thich Nhat Hanh

Join me as we walk together, experience and connect to the present moment.

Libraries as Gardens – sound walk in Athens

The National Garden of Athens is transformed into an audio book of stories by people all over the world, during the pandemic, telling about their favorite public gardens and reading from their favorite books at home during lockdown. You can listen to the recordings while walking inside the National Garden of Athens through a webapp

cat-foot

Cats aren’t known for clomping around like Clydesdales; they’re stealthy. That’s why cat-footing refers to walking that’s more subtle and graceful than that of the average oaf. In Harry L. Wilson’s 1916 book Somewhere in Red Gap, this word appears in characteristic fashion: “…I didn’t yell any more. I cat-footed. And in a minute I was up close.” Cat-footing is a requirement for a career as a cat burglar. Credits to Mark Peters.
