Experience the sonic worlds of the rainforest and river in new ways, shaped by the landscape, its inhabitants, and us.

As part of the ‘Regional Futures – Box of Possibilities’ exhibition, sound artist Kim V. Goldsmith will guide a soundwalk through Wingham Brush Nature Reserve to the Manning River on Friday, 24 March from 6.30 pm. This walk will provide insight into Goldsmith’s practice, the act of active and reciprocal listening she uses in her work, and how soundscapes are shaped by the landscape, its inhabitants, and us. Sounds from Wingham Brush, including the grey-headed flying foxes, are part of the soundscape compositions in the exhibition. It provides an opportunity to experience even a familiar environment in new ways.
