Lyth Arts Centre is delighted to welcome artist and curator Claudia Zeiske to a special Culture Cafe to talk about her recent project Slow Coast 500.
Over twelve weeks, Claudia walked the 750 mile route along Scotland’s east coast, taking a slower and more reflective approach than the well-known NC500. Her journey from Dunnet Head to the English border explored the cultural, social and environmental aspects of the region, and what it means to engage deeply with place and community.
Join us for an evening of images, stories and discussion from this unique exploration of Scotland’s coastline.
Food will be provided and the bar will be open.

Why do we need a tree?
This workshop by Natacha Antão invites participants to imagine and draw a tree they would plant in Guimarães, considering its place and significance in the landscape. Stories and drawings will be collected for an online map, creating a shared community vision. Participants can also record a short testimonial to deepen the collective narrative.
