Dates: Friday 12th June 2026
Friday 10th July 2026
Place: Peckham Rye Park and Common, London SE15
Time: 10.30am

Women who would like to explore an emerging walking arts practice are invited to participate in 1-hour to 90-minute somatic strolls + reflection (15 – 30 mins) with walking artist Tiana Harper. The guided walks will incorporate short Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement©-inspired explorations, invitations to explore the effect of imagination on walking, and opportunities to reflect on the experience throughwords/photos/sketching/movement.

This practice-as-research aims to investigate the effect of the walks in terms of creativity and the effectson embodied self for a PhD supported by York St. John University. The upcoming walks are the 2nd and 3rd in a series of 3, with each walk
exploring different pathways through Peckham Rye Park and Common and different, simple, somatic exercises. Participants are especially welcome to join both of the remaining walks but those who can only attend either
one are also welcome. No prior experience of Feldenkrais© or walking arts is required.

The walks are accessible to all women (18+) able to navigate a leisurely park walk. Please contact Tiana with any specific accessibility questions. *Places are limited – please contact Tiana @ tiana.harper@yorksj.ac.uk to register for for further information. (If
you have already registered for one or both of these walks prior to the initial walk in April, there is no need to re-register as I have reserved your place).
