On October 10, 2026, at 14:00, a group soundwalk titled “Sound has no edge, like the start of every end” led by composer and theater maker Soraya Lutangu Bonaventure will commence at Molenplaats Sonsbeek in Park Sonsbeek, Arnhem. This 20-minute walk unfolds as an extension of Korakrit Arunanondchai’s sculptural installation, carrying his voice through the natural landscape. Participants move through an environment characterized by themes of memory, decay, and unseen presences, engaging with a park setting that blurs time and space. The experience evokes a sense of continuous transformation, as the terrain quietly morphs and reflects the cyclical nature of remembering and forgetting.
The event situates itself within the longstanding tradition of Sonsbeek as an international platform for art in public space, active since 1949. Bonaventure’s work, known for navigating intersections of ecstasy and mourning, and exploring how violence interlocks with everyday life, complements Arunanondchai’s installation by deepening sensory perception through sound and movement. The route crosses hilly forest areas, inviting participants to encounter the park as a guardian of memories and spectral impressions while reflecting on shifting perceptions of time.
