A headphone-based soundwalk combining field sounds, historical and architectural narratives, contemporary music, and live conducted improvisation responsive to the participants’ changing location.
Which sounds make a city – and were we heard, when we start, listen more precisely? In “Klangkartografien – hörbare Räume” Winterthur becomes the accessible Klangraum. The Ensemble TaG is a sound walk, with music, history and architecture in a lively dialogue.
Through headphones and through live interventions, everyday sounds, narrative fragments and contemporary sounds of a multi-layered listening experience. The musical processes are created in Moment: Aid of Conduction – a directed Improvisation – form the musicians: in the sound in direct exchange with place and situation.
The participants move through familiar and hidden rooms and discover their acoustic properties – an invitation to experience the city with other ears.
