Come and join in this live art piece – a group walk as part of artist Nathania Hartley‘s Tapping Into The City project – looking at our movements through private-public space in the city, the impact of urban surroundings on us and our relations with each other.

For this edition we’ll explore the Paddington Waterside developments – one of the largest areas of regeneration in central London.

Nathania will explain the piece and then we’ll walk together for an hour or so, simply moving as one through the city space, listening to its sound and the sound of our feet. The walk will be simultaneously silenced (walking without speaking) and amplified (with pennies stuck to our shoe soles).

Bring pennies if you have any spare, but extra materials will be provided. If you don’t want to customise your shoes that’s fine, just wear a comfortable pair that you think may make a bit of a sound.

Free, all welcome!

Nathania creates tiny acts of disruption... using people and place to playfully make us reconsider our everyday, and spoken and written word to hit a little harder. Often the art is a walk together - aiming to get us to simply look again at what exists...
