Tocando fondo: paseo sonoro con Iribarren & De la Riva

Comments

In 1940 the artist Leonora Carrington was admitted to the Doctor Morales Sanatorium, marking a key point in her life and work. Touching the bottom is an invitation to return to this place through a sound walk through the park where the sanatorium was located, to delve into the universe of Carrington. Expanding The Symptomatic Surrealism: Leonora Carrington and connecting the exhibition with the territory, the duo Iribarren & De la Riva displays an overlap of narration, performance, soundscapes and participatory actions, where the memory of the place is mixed with the contemporary life of the park, to delve into issues such as transformation, trauma, hope and imagination.
