Walking piece details

Duration 480 minutes

This work is composed by five projections each eight hours long. The places of origin are the places I had or have an everyday life. The performances are made during the ordinary working time. The first input for this work is an albanian saying: Mat pllakat e bulevardit that means Measuring the tiles of the Boulevard. A saying that treats the jugding of the use of time by the others and their way of doing. Monotony and repetition is constructing the habit of everyday life same like the content of the saying. There is a supposed equality and at the same time difference in the repetition of each action. However no moment is equal.

The contrast of the reaction of the action shown as a projection in the art context and the production in the public space interests me. It illustrates the different values of an action in art and public same like the discrepance in between viewer and creator/ producer of an art piece.

The title is composed everytime out of two elements: The margin/difference of the steps counted during the walk and the steps counted while watching the recording afterwards; the time slot of the walk.
