Cagliari, a port, and built on a raised plateau, with lots of history, attractive to tourists, but not (yet?) overrun by them, is very well suited for exploration.

The capital of the island of Sardinia, Cagliari, is a city of many layers. Before being absorbed into Italy, the island played an important role in a series of earlier Italian and Iberian kingdoms, and before that saw influences from Rome, Carthage, and the Eastern Mediterranean. And, going even further back, the island was home to a native culture we, today, know only so much about, evidenced by megalithic leftovers now recognised as World Heritage Sites.

Cagliari, a port, and built on a raised plateau, with lots of history, attractive to tourists, but not (yet?) overrun by them, is very well suited for exploration.

I recently had the pleasure of making a short visit to the island and the city, and realised it appropriate to create a custom Dérive app deck for the town of Casteddu, as the city is locally known.

This new deck consists of 46 custom cards.
