Corona Walker is the name of a multidisciplinary walking art project by Barbara Lounder. It began during the 2021 corona virus pandemic lockdowns, is ongoing, and was inspired by the headstone of Corona Isabel Walker, who was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia in 1870, and died in 1889. Little is know of her life, leaving many opportunities for speculation and invention. The project includes public walking events in the neighbourhood where Corona lived, research and scholarly writing, speculative narratives, collages, and public readings.
