East Grand Forks Walking Tour — Historical Self-Guided Stroll
Discover the history of East Grand Forks on a free, self-guided walking tour featuring 14 stops across downtown. This immersive route shares stories of early settlement, Prohibition-era nightlife, the devastating Flood of 1997, and the city’s remarkable recovery. Highlights include historic bridges, the Greenway & Invisible Wall, States Theatre & Ballroom, Whitey’s Wonderbar, Demers Avenue, and the Campbell Library.
The walk takes about 60–90 minutes at a relaxed pace and can be enjoyed using a printed brochure map or the free PocketSights mobile app with audio narration. Along the way, walkers uncover the resilience and spirit of East Grand Forks—how a community shaped by rivers, floods, and change continues to reinvent itself with pride.
