Sound walk

The origin of Echoed Chamber dates back to a late night sound jamming session with friends using random objects such as cups, metal pipes, and water buckets, etc. As our mental state collapsing after some time, we unintentionally started tapping and humming, initiating an exploration of the sounds. Unexpectedly, we discovered that the sounds emerging without any planning were not only fascinating but also brought a sense of relaxation and pure joy. Therefore, we decided to try it again, this time in a cave. There, we sampled many interesting sounds from our jam session, processed them to recreate the unique acoustic effects of the cave, and made a sample pack.

The concept of this work is based on shared resources. It can be experienced alone at home, or with a group of friends outdoor. By scanning the QR code, you can access our sound pack, paring with any DAWs you have to experience the magical jamming moments in the cave.

I believe the most precious part of this work lies not only in experiencing the cave’s unique soundscape, but also in the energy exchange in the moment between individuals or between a person and the space.
