This sound walk follows the route of The Pymmes Brook Trail tracing the course of the urban river across North London. The audio comprises a ‘river of voices’ made up from people discussing their individual connection with the brook such as those who experienced Pymmes Brook as a childhood playground, studies of an aquatic ecologist and a community group who freely give their time looking after and cleaning up this watercourse.
The sound walk was made in collaboration with the community group ‘The Pymmes BrookERS’. The idea is that the sound walk may help to bring the river to life to help engage people with the situation of this and rivers in general.
