Audio Walking: An Introduction to Recording, Producing and Editing skills
Three fascinating workshops shifting from an introduction to audio field recording for audio-walks and soundscapes, through to actual field recording and then editing. We will make a work in prgress and communicate with a group of artists working on a similar workshop series in Sweden with Andrew Stuck. We will hope to produce a work in progress to share!
In the Field 2
Over eighty international presenters will contribute a diverse range of insights across peer reviewed presentations, workshops, sound and video works. Topics including acoustic witnessing, technology and ethics, critical fieldcraft, multi-sensory listening, memory, archives and more will forge unique and timely interventions into the changing methods, aesthetics and debates that infuse the field. Registration starts at 09.30 each

I am creating an experimental composition using field recordings, found sounds and background noise. My main idea is to create a soundscape of the area. By recording traditional Swiss musical instruments. Such as the alphorn, dulcimer, flute, organ and others.
I mixed these recordings of instruments with the sounds of nature and everyday life of a small town in the mountains of Scuol. The result is an experimental soundscape of the area. Which transmits different sound effects of walking. By creating a memory archive through sound, it was important for me to preserve the recognizability of sounds. But with a certain displacement and distortion, as if the emitting effect of sleep.
