Soundscape of the area

Soundscape of the area
Scuol, Switzerland
32 minutes
Sound walk

I am creating an experimental composition using field recordings, found sounds and background noise. My main idea is to create a soundscape of the area. By recording traditional Swiss musical instruments. Such as the alphorn, dulcimer, flute, organ and others.
I mixed these recordings of instruments with the sounds of nature and everyday life of a small town in the mountains of Scuol. The result is an experimental soundscape of the area. Which transmits different sound effects of walking. By creating a memory archive through sound, it was important for me to preserve the recognizability of sounds. But with a certain displacement and distortion, as if the emitting effect of sleep.

Wandering without intent, meandering, walking with pleasurable aimlessness (English regional, esp. Lincolnshire; supposedly derived from the Norse word for “worm”). See also “stravaiging” (Scots), “daundering”, “pootling”, etc.
