One hundred beekeepers meditated together in the AGO’s Walker Court for Nuit Blanche Toronto 2013, reflecting on the health of bees, beekeeping, and environmental policies through guided silence, walking, and sound.

Performance

One hundred regional beekeepers performed a collective meditation in the AGO’s Walker Court. While exploring the tangible effect of collective meditation, the work created a public platform upon which to reflect on the health and temper of bees and their keepers, and on the policies and environmental conditions that affect our shared future. The work featured periods of guided silent meditation, walking meditation, and sonic accompaniment.

The work was performed for five hours for Nuit Blanche Toronto 2013.
