The Rio Cavalos Trio

It’s been brilliant to collaborate with Oliver, Dylan and the AudioSpaces team, as they launch their fabulous new sound app. AudioSpaces is a wonderfully accessible platform to experience and create geo-located sound that marks ephemeral moments, changing spaces and situated experiences. As the sound map grows, AudioSpaces will become a rich sonic repository, recording in real time what it feels like to be alive now and connecting communities across the world through sound.

To mark and celebrate the launch of AudioSpaces, I made a trio of sound mixes in response to the Rio Cavalos, which is the closest waterway to my new home in central Portugal. The mixes are pinned to the AudioSpaces map at three points along the river, so if you’re ever in the Tábua area, you can hear them in situ. You can also read more about the methods and principles behind the recording and making of the sound here. Alternatively, just take a listen to the mixes through the players below – enjoy!
