In association with Placecloud.io the platform for place-based stories, we ran a competition from January to April 2024, in which we invited people to write creative and descriptive non-fiction, about buildings, parks, streets, trees and views – places that were familiar to them – in 250 to 350 words. This is the shortlist of written pieces submitted. The most appropriate submissions, as determined by our jury and the team at walk · listen · create would also be recorded as (audio) Viewpoints on Placecloud.
