AKRutherford

(United Kingdom)
Ann Rutherford investigates the human relationship with the natural environment. She transforms journeys, explorations and physical activities into images and soundscapes, often large scale and immersive. She uses drawing, sound and printmaking in her practice and holds workshops and art walks for the public.

snaffle, snoodle

These fanciful-sounding words have no definitive origin: They probably just sounded right to someone who was sauntering, which is what they both mean. An Oxford English Dictionary (OED) example from 1821 describes someone “soodling up and down the street.” Credits to Mark Peters.
