Anna Kirk-Smith
I am a fine artist, a graduate of the Royal College of Art, and a previous Head of BA(Hons) Fine Art at Hull School of Art & Design.
A dual background in the arts and science informs my work which is primarily based on ecology, natural sciences, science and experiences of place, sometimes created in collaboration with conservation organisations and charities.
Through visual and literary storytelling, I aim to communicate environmental and social themes, inspiring curiosity, wonder, and debate around the rich layers of understanding and engagement with our habitats, drawing upon current and historical ecologies, mythologies, and natural sciences.
I work and exhibit internationally, and have extensive creative project management and arts educational experience, but now am enjoying peace and freedom whilst living on the Isle of Skye.
