Elaine Angelopoulos lives and works in New York City. She is an artist with an interdisciplinary approach that bridges her studio practice with audience participation, of select installations and performances. Her work has been exhibited in New York, the United States, and Europe. Angelopoulos received a Franklin Furnace Fund/Jerome Fellowship in 2014/15.
For the past few years, Angelopoulos has been included in multiple group exhibitions. Among them were “Performance, Activist, and Existential Photographs” and “Focus Group”, were both on Art and Politics shown at Ronald Feldman Gallery, curated by Director, Marco Nocella. In 2023, she completed an epic long term project called “Brooklyn Dreams”, a multi-narrative story and walkabout performance around the Atlantic Yards Footprint and Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.
Currently, Angelopoulos has several studio production projects at various stages in progress. She has editioned pigment prints from prior installations, performances, and public protest documentation. Some are in part of her ongoing series, “The Nested Selves” that feature her persona performance practices, and “Calls to Action”, selections of her archive of activist ephemera and documentation.. Angelopoulos is embarking a production to create a large body of unique works on paper, and a series of experimental video works.

John Ryan Brubaker (he/him) is a visual artist based in West Virginia. He is interested in the peripheries of the photographic process, experimenting with everything from presentation and distribution models to the chemical make up of photographic paper. Often utilizing hybrid forms of photographic media, he builds collections of visual records from his environment, at times using river water, found coal or rainfall to make prints, books and installations. He has exhibited throughout the US and Europe, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington, the Juliet Museum, the Hirshhorn, Harlan Levey Projects and many others. He has been published by the Virginia Quarterly Review, Ampersand Editions, the Fotomuseum of Antwerp and others.
