On a dreich May afternoon, Dee Heddon emerges from her tenement flat wearing a pair of sturdy Brooks shoes and wielding a multi-coloured umbrella. The professor of theatre studies at Glasgow University is leading a research project into walking, arts and the pandemic, and has invited me along on her daily constitutional.
