Amelia Hodsdon

(United Kingdom)

Flairs

Writer in residence 2023/24
Amelia works with words for a living, to learn, and for fun. She walks in the gaps. Originally from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, she recently moved back after 25 years in London, and is relearning the local landscape. She graduated with a distinction from the Bath Spa MA in Nature & Travel Writing in 2023, has been shortlisted for the Laurie Lee Nature Writing Prize and in the Anthology Travel Writing competition, longlisted in Stroud Short Stories and the Cheltenham Poetry Festival, and published in the Guardian, Seaside Gothic and Echtrai. She writes about the places that intrigue her, in order to work out why.
