I find walking in nature to be remarkably therapeutic and I increasingly enjoy writing about it as well. I love to go for long walks with my Westie, Thorin (yes, named after Thorin Oakenshield, and every bit as feisty, loyal and opinionated as his fictional namesake!), on the Greenway which intersects my road.

From translations of the Greek playwright Aristophanes: It literally means to walk on the air, but actually means to walk as if on air. What a perfect word for buoyant sauntering, after, say, receiving good news. Credits to Mark Peters.
