Eman Abdou is an Egyptian visual Artist, and an Assistant Professor at the Painting department, faculty of Fine Arts Helwan University. She’s a member of Art POWA, a writing and publishing support network for Africa-based scholars in the visual arts, Rhodes University, South Africa. She worked as a researcher in BECAMI “Belle Époque Cairo Museums Itinerary” research project, funded by the AHRC and the STDF, and was the principle investigator of her project “Paintings’ Stories…the Forgotten Route” by AFAC. She had also presented “Nile Whispers” as part of Meeting Oceania, in Australia. Eman was a partner in “Reading Water: a contemplative Ecology of the Rivers Nile (Egypt) and Thames (UK).
