Karen Berger

(Australia)
Karen’s passion is to use her expertise in performing arts, research and writing to create connection through multimedia storytelling. She has an abiding commitment to social justice, as born out through her practice-led M.A. and PhD, which used theoretical understandings of the politics and poetics of place to investigate personal responsibility for living on unceded Aboriginal country; and through her extensive experience working with marginalised communities. She has a great love of teaching, and especially values the opportunity to support others’ growth. With a background in environmental work, and as a qualified forest therapy guide, she enjoys incorporating this expertise into site-specific performance.
