Heritage as a Living Laboratory : Pracademics Between Art, Architecture and Preservation- Exploring Vernacular Heritage as a Sustainable Way of Building and Culture
Leena Raudvee is a visual and performance artist based in Toronto, Canada.
She has worked for over 40 years in collaboration with Pam Patterson as ARTIFACTS including a performance in 2017 for Made of Walking in La Romieu, France.
Since being diagnosed with a muscular degenerative disease, Raudvee has been addressing the precariousness and uncertainty of walking through performance and drawing, exploring her daily performance, as performance art, of the basic acts of mobility.
In her 2025 residency, Finding Balance, at Tangled Art + Disability Gallery, she put aside her walker and risked trusting others to support her in order to walk without falling.
