Tracey Benson
Dr Tracey Maree Benson is an interdisciplinary artist, curator and researcher based on a small sand island in Queensland, Australia. In 2019 she founded Treecreate, a social enterprise focused on creative action around regeneration of places and people, through eco-awareness programs facilitated globally. In 2026, Treecreate Studio Inc. became a registered charity in Australia with Tracey as co-founder and Chair. Her work is focused on ecological balance, awareness and wellbeing. She explores a range of media including walking, video, online, open data, plant dyes and eco printing, photography and augmented reality. Tracey has an extensive background collaborating with Indigenous communities, historians and scientists, having featured in many international and national media festivals since 1996. In late 2025, she started a 2nd PhD supported by full scholarship from the Australian Government.
